Dr. Yamasaki is a Professor in the Department of Sustainable Engineering at Nihon University. He received his Bachelor of Engineering (1980) in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Engineering (1982) in Transport Phenomena from Hiroshima University, Japan. He received his Doctor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Osaka Prefecture University. He held positions as Research Associate (1985-1987) at Hiroshima University, Research Associate (1987-1988) at Ehime University, Professor (2001-2004) at Ehime University, before assuming his current position. His major field of study is thermal engineering and utilization of emulsion fuel. He is a member of Heat Transfer Society of Japan, Combustion Society of Japan and Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Dr. Akihama is a Professor in the Department of Sustainable Engineering
at Nihon University. He received Master of Engineering (1984) in Electrical
and Electronic Engineering from Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan.
He worked at Toyota Central R&D Labs., Inc. (1984-2013) before assuming
his current position. He received his Doctor of Engineering in Mechanical
Engineering from Nagoya University. He was also part-time lectures at Okayama
University (2008) and Nagoya University (2000-2005). His main field of
study is combustion in automobile engine and laser measurement. He is a
member of Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Combustion Society
of Japan and Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Dr. Imamura was born in Hiroshima, Japan on September 8, 1976. He graduated from Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Faculty of Engineering The University of Tokyo, Japan in 2001 with Bachelor of Engineering. He graduated from Department of Advanced Energy, Graduate School of Frontier Science The University of Tokyo, Japan in 2003 with Master of Science and in 2006 with Doctor of Science. His major field of study is the space transportation system.
Currently he has interest in hypersonic flow around reentry body and hypersonic propulsion system. He has also interest in microgravity science such as microgravity combustion.
Dr. Imamura is a member of The Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences (JSASS), The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), The Combustion Institute, and The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME).
